Ralph + Micay E-Session

Cloudy skies almost cancelled the engagement session of Ralph and Micay. Since they’re getting married in Word Community Church, we decided to have the e-session there too. Ralph’s family is close to our heart. Just check out the pictures from his brother Richard’s engagement and his niece, Abrielle :)

Can’t wait to shoot your wedding, guys!

Abrielle

It was such a joy and pleasure to take photos of Baby Abrielle. She’s 2 weeks old and the first child of friends from church. We trekked Manila’s east side just to photograph this pretty girl :)

Jessica Cox Rocks!

Our church was truly blessed yesterday when Filipino-American Jessica Cox visited to give her testimony. Jessica was born without arms and guess what, she flies planes! Yup, she flies planes, drives a car, does practically everything that many “abled” bodies may not be able to.

Everyone was practically in tears when she told her story of courage, perseverance and FAITH!

Thank God Dennis became the “official” photographer that day. Now I have A LOT of pictures of Jessica!

After she spoke, a long line of people wanted to have their picture taken with her..including celebrities! The tables have turned only for Jessica.

Of course I didn’t miss the chance to line up for a picture (I still love you, Shawie!)

And Bea didn’t miss a chance to get an autograph..

My favorite Jessica quote is from a story she narrated back when she was young. She just moved to Tucson and for the first time, she went to school without the prosthetic arms made for her. On that day, she felt free-er, lighter, more herself. Since that day, she never wore the fake arms that was made for her to “look” or “be” like other people. She continued on to meet other people as herself, as Jessica. After telling this story, she then turned to the audience and asked “What are your fake arms?”

Jessica, you have blessed our lives. If you decide to get married, I will fly wherever to shoot your wedding for FREE!!

“Real” pictures

With the proliferation of digital pictures, it’s refreshing to receive a “real” family picture in the mail. It’s more special if it’s a photo that WE took.

This ushers in another phase in Tina Zamora Photography — Family and Babies! Watch out!

Photobooth Holidays

With all the photobooths we’ve been in, it can actually become a category! Here are 2 that I’ve been in just this month. Happy New Year everyone!

Craig + Chat E-Session

This is a unique shoot because I will not be this couple’s wedding photographer when they tie the knot in January.. I will be their principal sponsor. Yikes! I’ve know Chat for a couple of years but it was the first time I met Craig. So to break the ice, I asked him to tell me their love story. That usually gets them going..

GC1 copy

Telling the love story usually gets them primed for the mushy shots..

GC2

And further telling the story gets them to laugh like this..

GC3

Congratulations, guys! Your story is the stuff movies are made of.

Carlo + Karla: E-Session

We shot my sister Karla’s engagement session last Saturday at Ari and Pinky’s farm. Don’t you just love that gazebo?

Karla2

This move is SOOOO Karla…

Karla3

If there was a money shot in every shoot, this was ours for that day. The grass cooperated!

Love that sunlight!

I have a thing for riffraff walls :)

Welcome to the family Carlo! You got yourself a handful..hahaha!

Paolo + Karen Wedding

I was excited to shoot this wedding because for the first time, the couple actually allowed me to take portrait shots BEFORE the ceremony. The reason why photographers like this is because we are usually just allowed 15 to 20 minutes after the ceremony to shoot portraits before the bride and groom get whisked away to the reception. I had a chance to take my favorite picture of all time.. I love Fernwood Gardens because the prep place is an old house with old furniture and architecture.. check out the girls..

I loved the door and the tiles so I used it as backdrop for the dress..

The groom told me the story behind these rings. Their REAL rings weren’t finished yet so they had to get silver replacements first! They’re beautiful nonetheless..

And speaking of the groom, I was so impressed with how Paolo pulled off the preps before everyone arrived. Cool groom!

A photographer’s job is easy when the bride photographs THIS well..

Have fun, Mr. and Mrs. K! It was a privilege shooting your wedding day!

My Sister’s Wedding

My sister’s getting married on my birthday this year. I’m the maid of honor and as one of my roles as MOH, I get to take pictures of the preparations. She had her first fitting of her gorgeous dress by Len Nepomuceno-Guiao. We obviously don’t believe in the Filipino belief of not wearing the dress before the wedding..

Watch out for the Engagement Session!

Richard + Jelly E-Session

Teacher Richard is the favorite Sunday School teacher of my kids. So imagine our happiness when he asked us to shoot his engagement session with his fiancee Jelly :) We were blessed to be able to shoot at our favorite furniture store / cafe The Room Upstairs. I love shooting here because of all the classy furniture and delicious food care of the talented Ari and Pinky Peralta.

I wanted to steal this screen so I can place it by my window..

This is the softest sofa.. with the sweetest couple..

No need for a backdrop with this textured wall..

Richard and Jelly, your love story was a great ice breaker. Can’t wait for your wedding in December!
