On the job, we photographers rarely have pictures of ourselves. It’s like playing Where’s Waldo during post production! Luckily, during our last wedding, our videographer friend, Jio Villegas, had a much coveted Canon 7D. I was happy to know that he took pictures of Dennis and me while working. So this is how we look while working together!
We started the month of love with a great wedding at Word Community Church. It was such a lovely wedding that our job was easy. It’s always lovely to see a pack of women (in this case the MOH, the MOB and the sponsor) trying to help the bride into the dress..
The groom had his own awesome posse..
I believe this is the happiest shot I ever took of a bride and her MOH..
A kiss is always nicer when you laugh out loud first..

One of the highlights of the reception was the dance from the Wedding in Cana. This should be danced in every wedding!

Cloudy skies almost cancelled the engagement session of Ralph and Micay. Since they’re getting married in Word Community Church, we decided to have the e-session there too. Can’t wait to shoot your wedding, guys! It was such a joy and pleasure to take photos of Baby Abrielle. She’s 2 weeks old and the first child of friends from church. We trekked Manila’s east side just to photograph this pretty girl
Our church was truly blessed yesterday when Filipino-American Jessica Cox visited to give her testimony. Jessica was born without arms and guess what, she flies planes! Yup, she flies planes, drives a car, does practically everything that many “abled” bodies may not be able to. Everyone was practically in tears when she told her story of courage, perseverance and FAITH! Thank God Dennis became the “official” photographer that day. Now I have A LOT of pictures of Jessica! After she spoke, a long line of people wanted to have their picture taken with her..including celebrities! The tables have turned only for Jessica.
Of course I didn’t miss the chance to line up for a picture (I still love you, Shawie!)
And Bea didn’t miss a chance to get an autograph..
My favorite Jessica quote is from a story she narrated back when she was young. She just moved to Tucson and for the first time, she went to school without the prosthetic arms made for her. On that day, she felt free-er, lighter, more herself. Since that day, she never wore the fake arms that was made for her to “look” or “be” like other people. She continued on to meet other people as herself, as Jessica. After telling this story, she then turned to the audience and asked “What are your fake arms?”
Jessica, you have blessed our lives. If you decide to get married, I will fly wherever to shoot your wedding for FREE!! For more pictures, click here. With the proliferation of digital pictures, it’s refreshing to receive a “real” family picture in the mail. It’s more special if it’s a photo that WE took.

This is a unique shoot because I will not be this couple’s wedding photographer when they tie the knot in January.. I will be their principal sponsor. Yikes! I’ve know Chat for a couple of years but it was the first time I met Craig. So to break the ice, I asked him to tell me their love story. That usually gets them going..
Telling the love story usually gets them primed for the mushy shots..
And further telling the story gets them to laugh like this..
Congratulations, guys! Your story is the stuff movies are made of. We shot my sister Karla’s engagement session last Saturday at Ari and Pinky’s farm. Don’t you just love that gazebo?

I was excited to shoot this wedding because for the first time, the couple actually allowed me to take portrait shots BEFORE the ceremony. The reason why photographers like this is because we are usually just allowed 15 to 20 minutes after the ceremony to shoot portraits before the bride and groom get whisked away to the reception. I had a chance to take my favorite picture of all time.. I love Fernwood Gardens because the prep place is an old house with old furniture and architecture.. check out the girls..
I loved the door and the tiles so I used it as backdrop for the dress..
The groom told me the story behind these rings. Their REAL rings weren’t finished yet so they had to get silver replacements first! They’re beautiful nonetheless..
And speaking of the groom, I was so impressed with how Paolo pulled off the preps before everyone arrived. Cool groom!
A photographer’s job is easy when the bride photographs THIS well..
By the looks of their portraits, this couple will last forever.
